This area encompasses the coastal strip between Apúlia and the mouth of the Neiva and is classified as a natural park, whose goal is to preserve the shoreline and its natural elements.
In the area there are the following habitats: sandy beaches, dunes, estuaries, watercourses, salt marshes, forests where pines predominate, there are also groves with oaks, farmlands and a maritime area with shoals.

Ornithological importance

In this area there is a record of 142 species of which 115 regularly. Highlight to the Northern Goshawk (Accipiter gentilis), the Western Marsh-harrier (Circus aeruginosus), the Osprey (Pandion haliaetus), the Common Tern (Sterna hirundo), the Long-eared Owl (Asio otus), the Reed Bunting (Emberiza schoeniclus), the Whimbrel (Numenius phaeopus), the Common Teal (Anas crecca), the Black-necked Grebe (Podiceps nigricollis), the Eurasian Nightjar (Caprimulgus europaeus), the Common Greenshank (Tringa nebularia), the Eurasian Wigeon (Anas penelope), the Red Knot (Calidris canutus), the Eurasian Reed-warbler (Acrocephalus scirpaceus) and Grey Plover (Pluvialis squatarola).
